We have a variety of research broadly centered around tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. We study the tissue and cellular biomechanics associated with traumatic injury using in vivo, in situ, and computational models. We are developing biomaterials with distinct functional properties and bioactivity, including some for 3D printing. We are developing a platform technology for targeting of drug delivery based free radical chemistry. We are developing novel, lab-on-a-chip electroporation devices. Finally, we use in vitro and computational models to investigate mechanotransduction as a mechanism underlying the response to acupuncture.
